F.A.Q.
What is the degree about?

The Official Bachelor's Degree Programme in Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation (LEINN International) is very similar to an International Business degree but it’s hands-on and practical. From the first month, we divide the cohort into 2 teams and each team creates a real company. They have to learn how to run the company by actually doing it, creating entrepreneurial projects and learning how to work in a team — It's sort of like their guide to building a company from scratch. Therefore, we focus on team entrepreneurship, working together on projects with a purpose, rather than going solo. And they do this in multicultural teams and travelling to a different country each year.

What are the locations of the degree programme?

The Degree programme offers a unique opportunity to study in a new location each year. In the first year, students begin their journey in Bilbao (Spain). The second year takes them to Berlin (Germany), followed by the third year in Seoul (South Korea). For the fourth year, each student embarks on their final degree project in a location of their choice (show the labs).

What is the Accrediting University?

The accrediting university is Mondragon University (MU), a pioneering cooperative university located in the Basque Country, Spain. With over 25 years of experience and a community of 7,000+ students, Mondragon University stands out for its innovative, hands-on, and values-driven approach to higher education. Moreover, MU is part of a global educational ecosystem with international campuses, alliances, and exchange programs. Students participate in multinational teams, developing entrepreneurial projects across countries including Spain, Finland, South Korea, India, etc.

How does mandatory military service in South Korea fit into the LEINN International programme?

At LEINN International, we recognize the importance of fulfilling the Korean mandatory military service. Based on our experience with past Korean Leinners, we have established the following options to ensure a smooth academic journey while maintaining the integrity of our team-based learning model:

1. Complete military service before joining: You may enroll in LEINN International after completing your military service.

2. Complete military service after the 3rd year or upon graduation: If you have not yet served, you must commit to the first three uninterrupted years of the programme. Military service can then be completed either in your 4th year or after graduation, depending on your chosen path.

LEINN International is based on a team learning methodology, where students work together in entrepreneurial teams, developing projects and businesses. Interrupting the first three years would disrupt team dynamics and negatively impact both the individual and the group. After the third year, students choose between two paths:

  • Entrepreneurial Path: Starting or continuing their own business.
  • Intrapreneurial Path: Gaining work experience within a company.

The decision on whether to complete military service in the 3rd or 4th year will depend on the chosen path and how it aligns with the learning experience. This structure has been successfully followed by previous Korean students, and we strongly believe it is the best approach to ensure both personal and academic success.

If you have any further questions or need guidance on planning your enrollment around military service, feel free to reach out to us!
